Music is too fluid for me. I don't care what type of music people like, you'll never run into a single human that doesn't like music, even in the abstract. I think it's because even before we entered this world, we were grooving to our mothers heartbeat. Music is the oldest form of joy. Yeah, that's what it means to me.

The thing in my DNA that says, GO.

Stereotypes. The artists aren't the problem per se. It's the music industry that picks and chooses what is popular. And the industry sucks these days. Back in the day, those cigar smoking fat cats would take a chance with a new sound, and it paid off. Think about it, would Joan Baez, Johnny Cash, or Bob Dylan be signed today? These days the A&R is some asshole with a business degree; knows zilch about music; and is simply following trends to rake in profits. But they pale in comparison to the potential wealth of a unique voice and sound, but they can't see past their hubris enough to know what is the future of music. And that is also why artists go to the world wide network. Fuck them.
I like this interview.

Local scenes? Those exist? Those are the same spoon-fed radio heads who wouldn't know good music if their favorite artist told them to check it out.
Whatever those qualities are, I don't possess them, so you tell me.
