What is music to you? What does it give you?

To me, music is a way of expressing emotions that are often too difficult to put into words. As a vocalist, I find that singing allows me to access parts of myself that I might not otherwise be able to express. When I perform, I feel like I'm sharing a piece of my soul with the audience. There's a vulnerability in that, but also a sense of catharsis. Music has the power to transport me to another world entirely. When I'm lost in a song, it's like everything else falls away and I'm completely in the moment.. As a musician, I find that I'm constantly inspired by the work of others. Listening to other artists and exploring new genres is like opening up a world of possibilities. Collaborating with other musicians is also incredibly fulfilling, as it allows me to connect with people who share my passions and to learn from others. Overall, music is a deeply personal and emotional experience for me. It's a way to express myself, to connect with others, and to explore the full range of human emotion

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to collaborate with other talented musicians and create something that's both unique and meaningful. I believe that working with others can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the creative process, leading to something that's greater than the sum of its parts. In particular, I would love to put my own spin on existing music, taking familiar songs and giving them a new life. By collaborating with other musicians, we could experiment with different sounds and arrangements, finding new ways to express the emotions and ideas in the music. At the same time, I also have a strong desire to create my own original music. I believe that music is a powerful form of self-expression, and I want to share my thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others through my music. By creating something that's truly unique and personal, I hope to connect with others on a deeper level and create something that resonates with them.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

If I could change the world through music, I would start by making it more accessible to everyone. Music has the power to inspire, uplift, and connect people from all walks of life, but unfortunately, not everyone has the same opportunities to experience it. For example, I would work to ensure that every child has access to music education. Learning to play an instrument or sing can be a transformative experience, teaching children valuable skills like discipline, perseverance, and creative thinking. By making music education more widely available, we could help more young people to discover their passion for music and cultivate their talents. I would also work to promote diversity and inclusion in the music industry. Unfortunately, the music industry has historically been dominated by a narrow range of voices and perspectives, but this is starting to change. By promoting and amplifying the voices of artists from underrepresented communities, we could help to create a more vibrant and inclusive music culture. Finally, I would work to promote music as a tool for social change. Music has a long history of being used to protest injustice and to bring people together in times of struggle. By encouraging musicians to use their platform to speak out on important issues, we could help to build a more just and equitable world.

What inspires you to make music?

As a vocalist, I am deeply inspired by the raw emotional power of music. Whether it's the haunting melody of a jazz ballad or the soaring vocals of an indie anthem, I believe that music has the ability to connect us on a deep and meaningful level. I am particularly drawn to piano and vocal arrangements, as they allow me to pour my heart and soul into the music and really connect with my audience.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

As an artist who is deeply inspired by the indie music scene, my music is all about conveying a sense of emotional depth and honesty. Through my music, I want to encourage listeners to explore their own emotions and experiences, and to connect with others on a deeper level. I believe that music has the power to bring people together, even in the face of adversity or struggle, and that by sharing our vulnerabilities and emotions, we can create a more compassionate and understanding world. Overall, my message is one of honesty, authenticity, and emotional depth. I hope to use my music to inspire others to connect with their own emotions, and to find strength and resilience in the face of life's challenges. Whether it's through a gentle piano ballad or an upbeat indie anthem, my goal is always to convey a sense of vulnerability and honesty, and to create a space where people can come together and connect on a deeper level.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

When I perform in front of an audience, I feel completely in the moment and focused on the music. It's as if nothing else matters except for the notes I'm playing and the emotions I'm trying to convey. In a way, I feel as if no one is there - not because I'm not aware of the audience, but because I'm so fully immersed in the music that everything else fades away. It's an incredibly powerful feeling, and one that I treasure every time I step on stage. At the same time, I do feel a sense of connection with the audience. There's something incredibly special about the shared experience of a live performance, and I love the feeling of being able to connect with people through music. Overall, performing in front of an audience is both exhilarating and humbling. It's a reminder of the power of music to bring people together and to create moments of beauty and connection that transcend language, culture, and even time.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

To improve the situation, fair compensation for musicians is needed, and greater diversity and representation in the industry need to be prioritized. Additionally, platforms that provide opportunities for musicians to showcase their work and connect with other musicians, such as Drooble, can be valuable resources.

What do you think of Drooble?

Drooble is a great platform for musicians looking to connect with others in the industry. I appreciate the ability to collaborate with other musicians from around the world and showcase my work to a wider audience. The virtual instrument store and music lessons are also helpful features for those looking to improve their skills. Overall, I think Drooble is a valuable resource for musicians looking to network and promote their music.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

As a musician, one of the things that frustrates me the most is the pressure to constantly produce new music. With the rise of streaming services and social media, there is a constant demand for new content, and musicians are expected to release music at an increasingly rapid pace. This hyperproduction can lead to burnout and a lack of creative inspiration, and it can be challenging to balance the desire to create with the need to produce content to stay relevant in the industry. Additionally, this pressure can lead to a focus on quantity over quality, which can compromise the integrity of the music.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, I absolutely support my local music scene as a fan. One of the ways I do this is by attending local concerts and shows. I believe that supporting local musicians is crucial for the growth and vibrancy of the music scene in my community. By attending concerts, I not only get to enjoy live music, but I also have the opportunity to connect with other fans and musicians, which can lead to new discoveries and collaborations. Additionally, I like to share and promote local musicians' music on social media and other platforms to help spread the word about their work and encourage others to support them.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I think that in order to get their music heard by a larger audience, musicians need to have a few key personal characteristics. Firstly, they should have a deep passion for music and a genuine desire to create something that resonates with listeners. They should also be willing to take risks and be vulnerable in their music, allowing their emotions to shine through in a raw and authentic way. Musicians should have strong communication skills and be able to effectively promote their music through various channels, from social media to live performances.
