What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is everything to me. Mainly, it's the only real form of expression that I have, but it also gives a high that I've been chasing my entire life. I wouldn't rather do anything else.

What is your music dream?

I could die happy if I played just one show where everyone was singing my lyrics back to me.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Wealth inequality, but so so much more.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi. My dad taught me how to play it once when he was home (he was away a lot for work), and it's all I played for a solid few years.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I mean, all of my inspirations for sure, but also independent artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Del Water Gap, Penny and Sparrow, and Breakup Shoes. Highly recommend all of those artists--specifically, Penny and Sparrow and Lizzy McAlpine's lyrics have been hugely inspirational to me lately.

What inspires you to make music?

I mean... everything, really. I'm just constantly in this state of feeling like there's something inside of me that's gearing up to explode, and this is the only real way to satisfy that intensity. I know I sound pretentious, but it's the truth.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

No matter what you're going through, there is someone else who gets it. That, and your life and your memories--they're important. You're probably going to be looking back to what's happening right now in a couple of years and think, "Wow, those were the good old days". Don't let the best times of your life pass you by while you're busy getting lost in the nostalgia of the past.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like every single part of my body and the air around me is vibrating at a frequency unknown to man.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

People say it's over-saturated, but I think non-musical people just take produced music for granted. The streaming era has allowed us all to get our music out there for people to listen to, but it's also fashioned a culture of entitlement. Hardly anybody actually purchases music digitally anymore, CDs are dead, and records are expensive to produce. I think for starters, streaming services need to pay artists proportionally based on who's listening to them, and furthermore, they just need to pay artists more. Period.

What do you think of Drooble?

Pretty cool so far.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Social media algorithms. Haha, but seriously, the recording process. I love songwriting, performing, mixing, and even mastering. But the recording process is just frustrating, because of my perfectionist nature. That being said, if I could just record music for a living, I would over most anything else.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I've actually moved around a lot the last few years, so I've had a difficult time with finding the local scenes, but that will be changing with this next move to California.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

An overabundance of heart. I know that really isn't measurable, but I think it's the only qualifier that matters.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

I believe I may have already, but here are some more: Demyia, Eric Vattima, Black Dolly Band.
