I think there are a lot of wannabe's. Earlier, in the 90's, artists tried to prove themselves and make an impact with their songs, real lyrics etc... and nowadays there're a lot of artists getting hype out of nothing, with very common lyrics, talking about stuff they don't even know about it.

I think it's either you have the flow either not. People nowadays are either very picky and don't wanna open up to other horizons, either they don't really care as long as they vibe with it.
From where I live there's "bekalaprise" such an amazing dude, also "kochwoody" from Brazil with whom I had a pleasure to work with.
