Anthya Singer Songwriter

Story

Anthya, name of birth Nadia Bonifacio, was born in Milan (Italy) where she still lives nowadays. Her passion for music has always been part of her since she was a child. She loved it so much, that she started taking lessons but the spark that ready made her fall in love with music were the Beatles but mostly John Lennon, whom with his art and his tragic death has always been a spiritual and artistic guide. She started studying composition and in 2002 she began working as a vocalist in different recording studios where she met, producer and sound engineer Alessandro Talia with whom she still works with and has always been a good friend moraly and artisticly. This vocalist experience gave her the chance to meet and to confront professionally with different italian producers. She got the chance to work with some of them, one of these was Daniele Stefani for whom Anthya wrote a song, for his album, called "E' stupido non dirtelo" Nadia Bonifacio, artistcly speaking, is born as a "Rocker". In 2005 with the a.k.a. "Nadja" in collaboration with A. Talia, started a project to help animals after realizing the cruelty that these poor creatures have to face. This led her to decide to become an animalist and a vegetarian. Her passion for music and her love for animals created "Razza Bastarda" a song that Anthya wrote which goes againt the vivisection (a practice of animal experimentation) it's a very cruel practice against these living beings and againt the intensive animal farming (of meat, fur etc..). "Razza Bastarda" was a first single and became a project that created a cd/dvd that were composed, other than the song and of its videoclip also a videos of various artists and of animalist associations that supported this project. In this rock song Anthya explain a reality, cruel and suffering , trying, with the help of music, to give a voice to those that haven't got one and to sensibilize humanity. In 2006 she meets Dj and producer Alex Bartlett, nowadays Fabio XB, with whom she starts a intense and very close collaboration, that became the starting point of a new wonderful experience, trance music. Working as a composer and singer with A.Bartlett in 2007, she wrote his new single "Universe Inside" (Drizzly Records)...and so are born other songs like "Touch the sun" (Air Music), "Off the world" (Vandit) and other...where Anthya wrote the vocal melody. The collaboration with different Djs and labels gave Anthya experience positive effects. She always loved to vary from one style to another in fact her love for music never stopped to one music genre. Challenging her skills as a composer/singer and by following her emotional feeling different songs where created by her that where better for one kind of genre and some for other. In 2010 starts her path as an arranger and as producer of her own music, where she began compose and arrange different songs one of which was released in 2011 from Blackhole Recordings in Pedro Del Mar's Compilation. The title was "Soul within Soul" an important track that Anthya dedicated to music itself. In this period she falls in love with Chillout Music. She got so into it, that she decides to produce her first EP in collaboration with Giancarlo Bonfà a really good friend of her's and great musician and composer. The EP called "Ethereal Sky" is formed by 4 chillout/lounge tracks and was released by Drizzly Lounge in 2012. An other great collaboration was with Max Denoise with whom she created "Elusive" lanched by Armada in York's "Planet Chill 2013-01" Anthya, thanks to her infinite passion that erupts like volcano, creates many songs. Of these she chose five of them, which she completed and then put together to compose her new EP called "Karma" that in 2015 is released on Real Groove Lounge of the Drizzly Records. At the same time she decides to take a chance on her self and to follow another type of music called EDM mixed with Dubstep. With this dedication she created "Puzzle is Incomplete" and "Fatuous Fire" two tracks that where released in 2015 by G&D Records a label from Dallas, Texas. Recently one of her most relevant collaborations in certainly the one with Torsten Stenzel (York) who appreciates so much one of Anthya's chillout tracks that he decided to include it in his album called "Traveller", which came out in 2016. York also took the same song and decided to do his own version by adding the electric guitar and changing some parts of the arrangement. The title of the song we are refering to is "The Horizon of Mars" released on "Planet Love Records" The Horizon of Mars, original version, will be one of the 10 tracks of Anthya's new album. An album that she wants to dedicate to her loving Aunt Emilia who passed away at a young age in February 2016. The album should be released within the end of 2016 lanched by "Drizzly Records" a label that she loves and that she is really grateful towards cause it gave her the opportunity to show herself and her art to the world of chillout music. For this reason she decided to call her album "Chillanthya" an album that collects Anthya's world, a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks. At the same time, around August 2016 , a new EP of EDM and Dubstep music will be released by a label of G&D Records ,”Funktrap Records”, with the title "Mars" composed by 4 tracks.
