The Melancholic Youth Of Jesus

Story

Carlos Santos - Vocals Pedro Carneiro - Guitars Miguel Lopo - Guitars João Leitão - Bass Clara Oliveira - Drums Founded in 1990 by Carlos Santos, from Zimbabwe, the mYoj (Melancholic Youth Of Jesus) achieved a cult band status in the European underground scene. Over the years the band has been re-inventing their sound, whose roots derive from the timeless rock of Velvet Underground, New York Dolls and The Stooges, early New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen, and the eccentric Phil Spector's "Wall Of Sound". Having performed on some of the most relevant stages in Portugal, in addition to countless concerts in the United Kingdom and Europe, mYoj are in a process of transformation thanks to new additions to its line-up; João leitão (Bass), Pedro Carneiro (Guitars), Clara Oliveira (Drums) and Miguel Lopo (Guitars) whom, together with Carlos Santos (Vocals / Guitars), aim at timeless songs that that speak intimately with the listeners - individually.
