My first experience with music was when my parents sent me to record classes at the age of seven years. Three years or so later I quit, because I lost interest in the children's songs I was being taught. At 14 I decided to learn another instrument so I picked up the bass. One years later I also started jamming on the guitar and around the same time I played my first show with a band. In 2012 Nuclear Monstrosity released the album "So Let's Nuke'm first". That goregrind album was the first official release I had contributed to. Not too long after that my symphonic metal band Daedric Tales released the EP "Hircine's Call" in 2013. One year later I played the bass on "Episode IV" by Squirrels With Lightsabers. 2015 was the year I decided to try some solo stuff as Aryan Havrest. The single "Heading Home" was a manifestation of this idea. In 2016 Daedric Tales released a single called "Sleepers Awake" and another EP titled "Cult of Ashes". In February 2017 the debut album "The Divine Menace" was released and well perceived. Later in 2017 I released the satiric noise album "Tool Crime" by the fictional artist Extreme Noise Complaint. The classic music dream is to live like a rockstar and make a living on music. I am a little more realistic and dream of reaching a point were releasing music doesn't cost me more money than it earns me.

There are a lot of great and creative minds out there. The ones I enjoyed the most throughout my life so far are Impaled, Dark Fortress, Sólstafir, Týr, Mastodon, Khemmis, Gorerotted, Mincing Fury of Guttural Clamor and Queer Decay, Stormwarrior, Gloryhammer, Alestorm, Astronoid, but also some non-metal artists such as Future:Art, Coco Rosie, Arcade Fire, Dan Terminus, Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Waveshaper and also some actual charts stuff like Sia.
Depends. Sometimes boredom (my upcoming release called "A Not So Modern Summer"), sometimes anger (another upcoming release titled "The Anatomy of Disappointment"), sometimes groove (my new band Croco Jack & Surfin' Ali) or the urge to tell a story (basically the whole of my work at Daedric Tales).
Again, it depends. Sometimes I just want the people to laugh and have fun, maybe even let go of all social insecurities and dance like an idiot. Sometimes I also don't want to send a message, but just want to get something off my chest. But what I very often if not almost always do is twisting expectations and portrait something questionable in a very halcyon way.
If the troop I am on stage with is well prepared, I always feel great. I don't exercise at all which is why I give all I have on stage. I feel pretty exhausted but great afterwards. Basically what all the gymtards say after their workout. But this is just the metalhead speaking. I don't know yet how I would perform my other music.
It's all cool and stuff to rant about our situation, but if we're being honest for a second we have to admit that the situation for young and fresh musicians has improved a lot. Studios are everywhere and their prices are as low as they have never been. And you can even get your own equipment for a tiny amount of money and start working yourself. But one thing of all the rants is true: Too many consumers don't value music anymore and there is too much concurrence among young musicians. I would wish for an improvement in the consumer's and the fellow musicianss mindsets. Maybe start by killing Spotify. Those damn hypocritical goodie-goodie thieves.
It is a great platform to display your music. I hope that it will replace Facebook for musicians and music fans, and become what MySpace was in the past. I haven't really tried hardcore-promoting my music here yet, but if the non-musician audience of drooble grows, I might try it.
