What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music and the ability to create music means everything to me, right from an early age it's all I've ever wanted to do!

What is your music dream?

I've already lived it! performing my own songs before an audience and getting some decent applause and the odd whoop at times!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd unplug the whole world, it might make things like this a tad more tricky but we could soon invent clockwork replacements i'm sure! This little blue dot needs some love, not the rampant plunder and destruction we inflict on it!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

So many to choose from, my Mum & Dad used to buy me some very odd songs when I was a nipper, I used to play "Disco Duck" to death, so let's go with that one!

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Always been a Beatles fanatic since a very young age, no other band has ever been more melodic, clever and eclectic. I also love everything Kate Bush has ever done, again such a clever artist. I also love all the old Blues singers and brainless pop, and classical music! I tend to listen to everything and appreciate it, even if i don't enjoy it all :)

What inspires you to make music?

My life and what I see and hear around me, I find it a great pressure release and a great help in dealing with life's lesser gifts.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Have a good time and enjoy yourself, I do rant quite a lot in my lyrics but in a very enigmatic and somewhat comical way, so have a listen and see if you can decipher what the hell i'm on about!

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Proud, I was a nervous wreck to start with and would regularly empty the room, but now I use that nervous energy to propel my performances and to try and win the crowd over, which is always the vital thing!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

We are incredibly lucky to have the platform for our music that we have today. I can write, record and master a song at home and then let it out upon the world all in a day if I wanted to. It does mean it's a lot harder to get heard of course, but if you believe in yourself and your music then you always keep hope that you'll catch on with folk! The downside is the pittance paid on streaming sites, terrible greed has always afflicted the creative arts, we live on beans whilst the corporations dine out on champagne and fillet!

What do you think of Drooble?

So far, so good, I like the review feature and the angle it's coming from. I hope I stay engaged with it going forward, and also get a few listens and some feedback on my own musical efforts!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

No honest feedback, friends and family will always pat you on the back when what you really need is a rocket up the jacksy in order to get better at your craft. Also the lack of hours in a day, when you set about a recording session and six hours goes flying by before you've laid down more than a guide vocal!!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to open mics and will play and also stay and watch everyone else, I also share and support work from my local musician friends when I can when online or word of mouth.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Same as it's always been, be different and be good! Put the effort into your music and keep on trying to improve and try and build a fan base who believe in you as much as you do!
