Platinum Award winning songwriter, performer, record producer, recording engineer, artist development executive, mentor and television executive producer, with such notable artists and labels as: Smokey Robinson, Gino Vannelli, Rickie Lee Jones, Randy Meisner (of the Eagles) Ed Asner, Shirley Jones, Marty Ingles, A & M Records, Warner Bros. Records, and Motown Records, to name a few. Mitchel’s vast music career spans his entire life. Actively writing and performing, Mitchel also became a record executive for three major labels doing artist development and A&R. Here is a short list of artists Mitchel worked with either in the recording studio or on the concert stage: • For A & M: Providing artist development, Mitchel worked with Gino Vannelli, The Carpenters, Peter Frampton, Styx, Alessi Bros., Herb Alpert, Garland Jefferys, Dirty Angels, The Strabs, The Police, The Stranglers, and Milton Nascimento. Mitchel was awarded the Platinum Record for selling over 1,000,000 copies of Gino Vannelli’s “Brother to Brother” LP. • For Warner Bros. Records (Artist Development Dept.): Mitchel worked either in the studio or on the concert stage with Ricky Lee Jones, The Who, Michael McDonald and the Doobie Bros., Donna Lauren, Van Halen, Christopher Cross, Prince, and Ambrosia. • Mitchel Delevie also wrote a technical manual about producing live shows for Warner Bros. Records called “The Book of the Road." This book is still being used today as a reference book for artists, tour managers, and producers to help them plan their shows in many venues in the U. S. A. • For Motown Records: Working with the Vice-President, Smokey Robinson, Mitchel produced, engineered, and went on world tours to ensure Smokey had the record quality sound necessary for the Smokey’s live show. Produced the band Quiet Storm for Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson. Mixed Aretha Franklin for the Brotherhood Crusade tour for Smokey Robinson. • Over the last two decades, Mitchel has painstakingly chosen the finest singers and musicians in the United States to join him in the Mitchel Delevie Band to bring great songs and great singers back to the concert stage. Mitchel’s original blend of R&B/Pop, Jazz/Rock lifts people’s spirits and goes directly to the heart. Mitchel has written and recorded hundreds of original songs; his material is regularly sought after by the best artists and producers in the world. Mitchel Delevie produced and engineered the project for Arthur Hamilton. • Arthur Hamilton: “Funny Man," produced and engineered by Mitchel Delevie. After meeting in Chile at the Viña Del Mar music festival as competitors in the international songwriting competition, Mitchel produced the first USA album for the Grammy & ASCAP award winner Singer-songwriter, FERRA. VIÑA DEL MAR INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL Mitchel Delevie has been honored to participate in one of the most important music festivals in the World 4 times. The Viña del Mar Music Festival in Chile. Mitchel fell in love with the people of Chile who welcomed him and his music. He had the opportunity to work with a talented group of musicians and singers, developing lasting friendships and working relationships of mutual respect with members of the Chilean music community as well as artists from Latin America which started a series of record productions and collaborations for the Latin music market. 2004 Mitchel Delevie and David Morgan were chosen to represent USA in the International song competition with “The grass is always greener”. 2006 Mitchel Delevie and David Morgan were chosen again to be the U.S. composers of the International songwriting competition with their song “Heroes”. 2007 Mitchel Delevie once again was chosen to compete in the International songwriting competition with his and David P. Murphy’s song, "Living on the Corner of Hope and Heartbreak."
