Millisa Henderson

Bio

Playing guitar since the young age of 11, Millisa Henderson from Muskogee, Oklahoma, has been a female rock phenom from the start. Also a vocalist and pianist, she strives to give her audiences positive, high-energy performances they won't soon forget! Millisa began her musical journey at a week-long summer "Rock Camp" in Muskogee. It was there she realized her musical dreams, and she immediately set goals to become a professional musician. Soon after the camp, she began studying under local guitar hero Bradley Spears. During her teen years, she performed throughout the states of Oklahoma and Tennessee, with appearances in Texas and Massachusetts as well. She has performed at venues such as the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, G-Fest, The Berklee Performance Center, Hard Rock Cafe Dallas and Hard Rock Cafe Memphis. During the summers of 2013, 14, and 15, Millisa attended summer programs at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. It was during these programs that she fell in love with the college. After graduating high school in 2016, Millisa was accepted to Berklee on the full-tuition Lollapalooza Scholarship, a scholarship awarded to one outstanding rock musician a year. At Berklee, she has studied under professors such as Sal DiFusco and Jon Finn. Millisa currently resides in Boston as a second-semester student at Berklee. She is a member of the Berklee-based Ronnie James Dio tribute band, Magica, who is currently booking shows in the Greater Boston Area. Millisa is also currently writing and recording an original solo EP, and an EP with her band, Hydra and the Sirens, both set to be released later this year.
