I have been a guitarist since 1969, self taught. I learnt at that time to read music and played classical and a little Flamenco for the first 25 years. I then branched out to folk and pop. My classical playing made it a lot easier to get my fingers around those Bert Jansch guitar pieces. Never been into heavy metal or rock , although for a few years I was Deep Purple's biggest fan. I like songs with strong melodies. I'm working on a new batch of songs and hopefully they will be better produced than the last batch. I have played in many groups and many styles but never played in the type of group that really appeals to me, which is a folk rock group with displays of musicianship amongst all members - think Fairport.
