We are MetByFate. We play original rock music. A passion and love of music drives us to create and perform as much as possible. The band was founded in 2015 when friends (and bandmates in the Tim Huston Project) Tracy Brinkley and Steve Bender turned their fun side project into their main musical pursuit. In 2017, after a particularly prolific period of writing songs and performing as an mostly acoustic duo, the band went into the studio to record an EP. At first the intent was to do a basic guitar and vocals recording. It became apparent very quickly that the songs were crying out to be given the full band treatment. Steve and Tracy reached out to friends and fellow musicians Randy Parks and Bill Yeager to see if they would be interested in being a part of the MetByFate recording project. They were...and as fate would have it, they so loved the material and vibe that Steve and Tracy brought to the table, that they chose to become full time members. Soon after the six song EP was completed, the full band version of MetByFate hit the Denver live music scene. Playing Herman's Hideaway, the historic Oriental Theater, The Venue and more, the band has opened up more than a few eyes (and of course ears!) with their straight ahead rock/southern rock sound.
