It's art, we're artists, we paint, we make films, we like all forms of art, but music is our favourite. It's like a drug really, you can be addicted to certain songs, at time of writing i'm hooked on "birthday" by the sugarcubes
I dunno really, i dont wanna be like, a superstar, more like, ty segall, a good little cult following who are always thirsty for more and always come to the shows, but not in the media spotlight
War, bigotry and poverty, violence and inequality are the worst things i could imagine, and our world is riddled with it.
probably "a design for life" by manic street preachers, the reverb drums at the end made me wanna be a drummer. i also remember hearing the verve's urban hymns alot, like all the time.
That's a real tough one. i love queens of the stone age, the dead weather and ty segall. i can't pick between them
it's just what i was born to do i guess, you can get inspiration anywhere but i don't think i'll ever have a shortage of riffs, lyrics are what i struggle with really, it takes something really special to inspire me to write lyrics
Do what you want so long as you're not hurting anybody. there are so many restrictions on what's acceptable, or what's normal. i'm a freak, i always have been, i say let your freak flag fly. i have alot of music that makes bjork and captain beefhart seem like "normal" musicians, but i dunno if there's really an audience for it. it'd give lou reed's metal machine music a run for it's money in the weird department.
so far our audiences have completely ignored us, which kinda sucks, but i guess people weren't into the velvets when they first started.
i hate the overproduction that is flooding the market, everything has to be perfect, but it's the imperfections that really make the art. i also think people focus too much on fidelity, there are alot of great bands out there who's production quality isn't great, like the moldy peaches.
i dunno yet, i've only just sterted.
Writer's block, and a lack of an audience for our particular style
i'd love to but my local scene sucks, everyone is a carbon copy of ed sheeran or they're death metal, there's not really anything for me in my local scene
if i knew that i'd have an audience
sparklehorse, nobody ever seems to have heard of Wand, even though they've made it into the metro newspaper and have quite a big following. oxfordshire's up and coming willie j healey is pretty incredible
