Maximani is a producer and DJ hailing from Stockholm, Sweden–the very same city the worlds most iconic house producers call home. From an early age, Maximani has been interested in music, starting out singing and playing the piano. While in school, he studied music and audio engineering, ultimately launching his interest in electronic music. What started out as a hobby quickly turned into a passion when Maximani began to fall in love with the sound and production of electronic music. His journey hasn’t always been an easy one, however. “I was a bit ashamed at first because I come from a highly artistic family who always looked down on electronic music,” he said. Maximani eventually found a creative balance between electronic and disco/funk in his music, producing music under the genre he likes to call Dixtro–a mix between disco and complextro. He’s constantly inspired by artists like Justice, Feed Me, deadmau5 and Mord Fustang. “I have a big interest in making people let go of their fears and start focusing on the good instead.” Maximal is a unique artist who bridges the gap between standard big room and old school funk, setting his music apart from the rest. In the future, he hopes to play at major festivals, specifically Summerburst and Tomorrowland.
