Hi I'm Max Laney. I'll leave it short but I really started getting into music at a young age and fell in love with it. It really became a passion in the last year of secondary school and ever since then I have been making music. Attempting to nurture my own sound and form a fan base and create music in which people resonate with. If you want to catch what I'm up to in between releases follow my Instagram: @vellacenner
Music has the ability to breath meaning into individuals lives ; I am one of those individuals . It surrounds my everyday life and has become a passion of mine.
My dream is to build a close following with my fans and to create an impact. It is the community I want the most and I do not care how famous I get as long as I have a connection with my fans.
Tackling mental illness and giving adequate facilities for high quality treatment would be one of the first things to go for. I would love to impact the world with my music too.
The first song that comes to mind is Supremacy by Muse. My Dad played it in the car and Matt Belamy's voice gave me goosebumps.

What inspires me the most to create music is the impact it can have on others and ever since I discovered you could make music at home. I wanted to be like the all of the other famous rock bands.
That no one should suffer alone in dark times and that there is comfort in unity. The music will always be there but also it's about having a good time and forgetting all the pretentious crap that goes on in daily life.
Performing in front of an audience evokes a feeling inside that only appears when doing so. Seeing fans connecting to the music you've poured your heart and sole into is very rewarding and uplifting.
I believe that the music industry has become very saturated and it is therefore getting harder and harder to be noticed. It's almost impossible to get your head in the door when it comes to being recognised by labels. To fix the issue I think that local venues should be more open to inviting new talent in there so that new artists can get attention a bit easier.
I think Drooble is a good way of building connections and a community while also being rewarded to put your own stuff out there. Everyone gets an equal chance!
Probably labels abusing some bands or artists, while they get all the money and royalties.
I try to make sure that I listen to local bands new releases and also pay attention to artists who are in the same position as me.
A musician should be authentic and really focus on their own sound. This making them stand out more, rather than jumping on trends. Interaction with fans is very important too.
Alcest are very good.
