Matteo Ferrera

Story

Matteo Ferrera was born in Marino (Rome) in 1985. They are blues, jazz and rock the first genres to which it approaches and which they lay the foundations of his musical education. Sound designer, mix engineer, producer and composer of film music, Matteo's headquarters is the "Wavetown Studios" in Rome, his recording studio. He worked as a mix engineer for Italian and international artists; Massimo Di Cataldo, Kutso, Moseek and Wild Shooter Band among others. He collaborates with several directors and filmmakers short films, like Massimiliano D'Agostino for which he edited the post short films presented at the Cannes Film Festival. With Marta Gervasutti has composed the music for "Scheletri nell'armadio" and "Come Dio comanda", winner of the London Film Festival of 2017. The short film is still today awarded in several film festivals. Among his credits are also Maurizio Battista, Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, I soliti idioti, Federico Poggipollini and Pablo and Pedro. EVA is his first solo project.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Working with music is not easy ... especially in my country. It should improve the attention that music deserves, moving from simple background music to something that deserves full attention. You shouldn't do anything else while listening to music, but just listen to it.

I work everyday with a local band. Work in two of most important Live club in Rome. Follow the band at the gig, buy the music...
