Imaginary

Story

Imaginary is an American music producer, A.K.A. Mark Tapply A.K.A. Danger; Blade, AKA Inbred Jed and the covidiots. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres including psychedelic rock, Prog. rock, electronica, Electro-swing, dub, and industrial, His sound is constantly changing, moving between live rock sounds, electronica, overblown soundtracks, and whacko comedic songs. Mark started learning guitar at age 13 and piano soon after. He was fortunate to engage in a directed study of electronic music and early synthesizers and music theory throughout his high school years in the 1970s. Many years of playing in numerous nightclub bands throughout the northeast followed. As a way of making a good living, he became a dance club deejay and relocated to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami where he studied bass guitar for a short time with Jaco Pastorius and played in various cover bands. In 2008 he returned to New England and built Imaginary friends studio so he would never have to be in a band again.
