What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is an awesome space that lets me create an emotional vibe in the world around me - one that reflects my inner feelings. Inside equals outside and the world is in equilibrium.

What is your music dream?

It has always been to write and perform a song that I'm proud of. The icing on the cake would be to have that feeling shared by others.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

We're on the path already. Real time high fidelity communication between people. My hope is that that capacity is used to understand, appreciate, heal and enhance, not to injure.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

probably the songs that I wrote... I once made up a song called 'Everyone knows a Tyrannosaurus Rex wrecks Rex wrecks Rex wrecks your house" when I was maybe 5.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

So many to choose from... Gary Numan was a big influence, plus pop-rock bands from the '80s. Anything that has an 'alternative' sound that I haven't heard before.

What inspires you to make music?

I love making sounds, and weaving idea words through them... amplifying the emotion of each to create something that gives me shivers.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I would be honored if my music helped people have new thoughts.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel nervous... but if I'm prepared, it feels like I belong on stage.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

In general, better and more predictable incomes. We've done a lot to improve the tech of making and distributing music... we need to extend that to increasing the professionalism of the career of the artist and musician.

What do you think of Drooble?

I LOVE DROOBLE. Great people, and a warm and inviting place to take musical risks and have great feedback.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Musicians who are bullies and don't play well with others. There's a 'code'... of how to interact with other artists who have their musical hearts on their sleeves. Respect it.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I teach musical entrepreneurship, and ya... go out to venues and buy CD's or tickets when I can.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Creativity. Lots of patience. Love of the craft. Check your ego at the door.... we're making art here....Humility.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

ME... ha ha ha ha... My band Caliban Strange, Twiggy Drowe, Space Pope Kitchener Doom Metal.
