What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music gives me a safe place. Whenever I have anxiety I listen to it or hum out a song that comes to mind. If I have inspiration I sing it and might put those lyrics in a song or save them for later. It gives me a joy I haven't found in anything else.

What is your music dream?

I want to become a popular performer, with Michael Jackson level being my main goal. I aim big because I don't intend to go home. I also want to re-invent music and create my own genre one day.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

There's a lot that needs to be changed, but my main goal is to make sure people are better to others. That they respect each other as other human beings just trying to make it in this crazy world.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Thriller by Michael Jackson and Single Ladies by Beyonce stand out for me since I would learn their dance moves that I still know today and would sing them nonstop. Any song from the musicals Grease or The Wizard Of Oz also go into those categories.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think people shouldn't be so judged for the music they write. If someone wants to write a love song, a breakup song, a sad song, a happy song, etc then they shouldn't be judged. They spent time on their own pieces as so many others have and they don't deserve hate just because you might not have been the right audience. We see this a lot in woman of music who are hated on for the stories they write but it is their music and their decision. If you dislike, don't listen.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

When people don't give proper credit where it is deserved and valued. Own up if you didn't write a song, and if you didn't write a song but get compliments make sure people know it wasn't all you sometimes. It's okay to have others help with your music masterpieces. It can take a village sometimes.
