Story

Born January 4th 1985 in San Diego , Ca. raised by my grandparents in a small town in Florida called Zephyrhills. Been in numerous music projects from writing originals to playing full nights in a cover band. Ive played in bands with styles of Rock/metal , classic rock, southern rock, punk, funk, alternative rock. Helped write and recorded a full album "Capitalizing on Tragedy" that is out on every major streaming platform available with my brother Joey Palminteri in our band Deshrived which was founded in 2003 and still alive working on recording our second album. first and foremost i am a Drummer. secondary i love to sing for fun. most singing i get to do is in the work van on deliveries but not a stranger to the mic weather it was jamn with friends or Karaoke. most live vox for me are backups. " music is my weapon" is not just a something i say , its my way of life. right now im just a drummer ISO a cover band to have fun learn some tunes and play them live for some extra fast cash in the west Atlanta metro area. if you know any band looking for a drummer for that please send them my way. thank you in advance.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music gave me a light at the end of the tunnel. I was in a rough patch in my life. I had lost my grandmother at the age 18 and she raised me since i was 9 months old. If it wasnt for music giving me positive joy in my life and preoccupying my time, i would have probably ended up on drugs or worse....ended my life. Here i am in my 30s still playing music not as much but hopefully with the help of drooble that will all change!!!!!!

What is your music dream?

To be able to write, record, and play music for a living. Not to be famous but if it pays the bills then i wont have to do anything else and can devote myself to music 100% of my time.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

rid the world of people being envious/jealous of others.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

i have 2. Micheal Jackson- Man in the Mirror. in 5th grade i performed in a play at school for BHM as Micheal and because i could do the moon walk i got the part and that was the song i dressed up as him and danced to. he will forever be my first influence to be an entertainer. RIP king of pop. the whole album to Prince Purple Rain. guy was an absolute genius. could play every instrument and wrote every part to most his music. RIP Purple Rocker.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Micheal Jackson, Prince,Heart,Fleetwood Mac, Metallica was the first band i was introduced to with a heavy background. later down the road fallows ACDC, Megadeth, Shinedown,Sevendust,Seether,Slipknot, Stone Sour, Alice in Chains, Evanescence, Godsmack,Killswitch Engage. recent it has been Avatar, Nightwish, Halestorm ,I Prevail.

What inspires you to make music?

watching others play music

What is the message you want to send with your music?

play what you want regardless if anyone likes it or not. with playing music the first person who needs to be happy is yourself everyone else second.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

its the best high no drug could ever give me. not that i do drugs just that the feeling is so strong and such a rush i know nothing else in this world could ever get me that.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

i see corporate America still shoving artist in our faces that never write their own music or rappers who don't make since anymore that do not talk about real shit and MUMBLE their way to the top. would like to see more people actually picking up and playing an instrument instead of pushing a button that makes noise.

What do you think of Drooble?

so far its ok. once i have more time with it i can give a more descriptive answer

What frustrates you most as a musician?

no communication and close minded one genre type people.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

yes. by going to the shows and supporting all sorts of bands weather its original or cover bands. music is music.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

If i knew i'd have more people listening to Deshrived lol.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Skarlett Riot is the only band i can think of right now
