Mario Carranza

Bio

I started to learn popular music in home with a guitar at age of 13 years old. When I was 15 I used to play cumbia with drums. In high school (CEDART "Miguel Bernal Jiménez) I learned to read music and started with classical guitar, at the same time I began with bass guitar in some "alternative" projects (Rock, ska, funk). In 2012, during summer I took latin percussion classes in the Conservatorio de las rosas. By neXt year I took an individual course (conga), teach by Roberto Vizcaíno Guillot and his son. Since 2015 I study percussion in UMSNH, where I'm learning to play vibes and drum. Actually I play in a personal project called "Yermo Yerto" with others musicians (my rol is percussion), we play popular son, cumbia and salsa, and we make arrangements to tradicional meXican son music.
