Marcus Stevens

Story

Marc Stevens, currently residing in the greater Atlanta area, is an experienced musician, songwriter, arranger, producer, and vocalist who has been performing both live and in the studio for many years. While primarily an artist who writes, arranges, produces, and performs his own, original, copyright-secured compositions, Marc also has an array of cover material that is able to be called upon during his performances. Marc’s unique acoustic style has been described by others as a mixture of the acoustic side of Led Zeppelin, Heart, Jethro Tull, and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, with overtones of Cat Stevens. On the electric guitar, Marc's phraseology is a somewhat unorthodox mixture of Cream era Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin era Jimmy Page, Al Di Meola, and Mountain era Leslie West, with some blues and flamenco-like riffs added in for diversity. On bass, his style is clearly in the Jack Bruce, Felix Pappalardi, and John Entwistle camp. His musical accomplishments include playing with/opening for national recording acts, as well as a headlining his own engagements in various live environments. Marc also has a myriad of studio experiences with his own material in addition to performing on other artists’ sessions as electric and acoustic guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, mandolinist, and arranger.
