What is music to you? What does it give you?

A few years back I had answered this question easy with: everything! Like, " All I do, is music! A typical: Get up late, listen to a couple records, play some chords on my acoustic, do rehearsals, record some ideas, go to a concert" (that really was my life). But, live goes on and everything changes. I met the love of my life, since a couple years I'm a father, so music isn't "everything" anymore. But still a huge part of my life, I still spend the must time with doing music ... ;-)

What is your music dream?

I just want to create music I would love to hear!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Ban all plastic and forbid cattle breeding!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

David Hasselhoff - Looking for Freedom! (that is kind of creepy butthis song was in the radio for years here in Germany)

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Easy on: DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE (at the top, all times), but I also like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, The Decemberists, Andrew MaMahon, Jenny Lewis, Iron & Wine and a couple dozen more.

What inspires you to make music?

Actually, being around trees, rivers, mountains and the people I love, is very inspiring.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Oh, there are a lot, but first of all, I think, that you should be who you want to be

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

That depends on: when I play a show in front of people I know or who know me, I feel relaxed. To be on stage at a festival or across the country, where nobody knows me or my little tunes, it sometimes feels a bit wrong, but tends to change after a couple songs on stage.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

You can be present on the whole world, thanks to the internet, that is great, when I started making music "MySpace" was on the rise, that changed everything, but at the moment, it is really difficult to reach an audience without spending a lot of money. Also, to get a paid gig you have to be really lucky ( at least in Germany)

What do you think of Drooble?

Can I answer that honestly? I think Drooble is not s_+#6042826189436ß07 what the ,.-(/!=?($ why is my ::;_?(= Oh ... I love it! ;-)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

It seems that people tend to consume music more and more without thinking about it. Just open Spotify and listen to the newest "Hits", on repeat ...

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yeah, at least I try. When there are some concerts on the track I definitely consider to attend.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Money! ;-) Not only, with a bit luck and patience and good music, is it possible to stand out of the crowd

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Weltall Erde Mensch, The Shh, Valke, Chimana
