I just love playin' and singin' the Blues... but I also like to experiment with other genres... I run my own solo music project and recently my 8 tracks debut Blues Album "Possessed By The Blues" got out of the studio and I'm working on it's promotion. During the past I was mostly a guitar player in a couple of bands like "WHY NOT the band?" and "Rough Blu". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "WHY NOT the band?" was an indie pop-rock band created during winter 2005. The band started performing as an indie, pop-rock, alternative band till early 2013 when I decided to dive deep into the music I always and really loved. From their first live people embraced the band with enthusiasm filling stiflingly the places that the band performed. Time since 2006 was full of live appearances of their own and also in collaboration with known groups. Their LEADING MOMENT constitutes their attendance as an opening act to the great concert of JAMES (UK) and PURESSENCE (UK) in Pagkritio Stadium on July 24th, 2010. According to Tim Booth's statement, JAMES heard "WHY NOT the band?" music and gave admittance to open their concert, while James Mudriczki (PURESSENCE) did prompt them not to abandon but to continue their efforts because audience's correspondence to "WHY NOT the band?" songs made him a huge impression!! On October 17th, 2012, the band performed successfully as an opening act to the amazing MONOPHONICS (USA) live at Cine Studio, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. On July 09th, 2012, the band performed successfully as an opening act to the amazing PURESSENCE's (UK) live at Technopolis Theater, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. On June 22nd, 2014, the band performed successfully at European Music Day in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. During the gig they performed a few songs from their 1st upcoming Blues album with a huge response from the audience. On February 18th, 2013, the band performed successfully as an opening act to FIREWATER's (USA) live at Cine Studio, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. On February 8th, 2013, the band performed successfully an acoustic playlist as an opening act to DANNY CAVANAGH's (ANATHEMA - UK) live at "Pixida - Live Stage", Heraklion, Crete, Greece. They have also participated in lots of events in the city of Heraklion (playing with Closer, Raining Pleasure, Film, Matisse, GAD, Monsieur Minimal and Lumiere Brother) and in other places in Crete as well as outside the island. During 2007-2010 in addition with their live appearances, they worked on their own songs in pop, rock and blues style with English lyrics. Result of this effort was their first music demo recording album which was completed in early 2010, production and recording assiduity of which had the producer Manos Terzakis with help by the sound engineer Kostas Manousakis. All songs that were composed till 2010 don't exist anymore. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Rough Blu” was a traditional Delta Blues trio consisting vocals, acoustic, & electric guitar and harmonica with influences starting like from Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, T-bone Walker, James Cotton going through John Mayall, ZZ Top και Stevie Ray Vaughan. The band was formed in Athens, Greece, during winter 2002 untill March 2004. The band started over again in Heracklion, Crete, during winter 2009. On 11/05/2012 “Rough Blu” had the great honor to participate as an opening act to the living Blues legend OTIS TAYLOR & CONTRABAND's live at Heracklion, Crete, Greece. On 11/21/2011 “Rough Blu” had the great honor to participate as an opening act to the Chicago Blues living legend JODY WILLIAMS's live at Heracklion, Crete, Greece.
