how can you live without making music?
difficult to explain to non-germans. I try. in former times the band was called crossroads. As we are buildung our webside we found a lot of band woth taht name. So we had to find a name we can sure to be the only using that name. Our rehearsel romm was in the town called Mettmann and the rehearsel room was in a barn. so we made Mettmann to mad man - wich sounds in the same way - and added the barn. mad mans barn was born.
its my familiy over more than 20 years.
we play our music having a lot of fun and we like to share that with the audience. Thats all.
from the beginning Markus Pörsch , our solo guitar player, was the musician head of the group and he had a lot of songs written by himself. We like that and we like to play that
I´m a social worker an worked for 34 years as a probation officer
fun und proud to be part of the groupe
to be successful in a way that Markus Pörsch can live from his music. He deserved it.
to have fun making music together, and the intension to share that fun with the audience
hard job to find gigs. That wasn´t a problem when I started 40 years ago but now it is. They offered 80 Euro for each of us to make music 3 hours and more and expect we coming by our own cars driving 2 hours without getting money for that.
I hope its a chance for us and the other guys making good music
In a craftsman, they find it completely normal to pay him well and to reimburse him for the cost of the journey. Musicians expect them to work for an hourly wage that they would never dare to offer to a craftsman. That is disrespectful.
whenever thy offer live music I go to listen to it
