Music is myself, is what touches my heart, my mind. Music is my dream. It gives me from the deepest feelings that nothing else can give me to the Adrenaline and Adventure that is playing on stages and gigs. Music also presents me to the most interesting friendship relations I ever had.
I dream about playing my guitar and Piano everywhere in the world. To meet several places, several people, to touch everybody with my music, to make them feel what I feel when I play. I dream of being able to live from playing music, so I can live 100% for music.
Certainly with Knowledge. It's the starting point to change the world in every other aspect. I happen to be a scientist also, so I feel that knowledge is what moves the world, from creating technology to arts, it's all about knowledge. So I would start changing the educational systems in all the world to a more inclusive, more related to the development of the student himself, and their relations with the world, other people and etc, instead of a education system that focus on creating new workers.
From my childhood, the most memorable song is Bach's Prelude and Fuge in C major, from the Well-Tempered Clavier book, which was used as "Ave Maria" sometimes. I love the melody, the Harmony. Later in my life, I discovered that this was Bach's music.
Today, my favorite music artists are Johann Sebastian Bach, Claude Debussy, Frédéric Chopin in the classical music genre, from Rock'n'Roll I love Van Halen, Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. From Blues, I really Love Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King and John Mayer and from heavier genres, the ones I like the most are Slipknot, Suicide Silence among others.
Every kind of stuff inspires me. I have songs or instrumental music about flowrs, sunrises, among other things. Also songs about parties, love, sex, drinking and etc, which I mostly use in the Rock Band I play, while the other ones I do Solo work usually.
The band I am part of, Senhor Pecado (Mr. Sin), have a clear message of "Once in a While, we need to take a time, go to a show, to a party, think about men, women, drinks and other 'sins' so we can recover our strength and get back to face life and all its problems again, so we can Win". My own message as instrumental solo musician is still unclear, cause so far, I compose about everything.
I feel awesome. Such an adrenaline, energy ... such overwhelmingly happiness ... I can't say much, that's what I feel in essence.
Well, it's hard. Nowadays a musician has to be more than "just a musician". For some, this is an improvement, but sometimes I just wnat to play. Sometimes I just want to play and be heard. Sometimes it feels too complex and impossible of a dream. Somehow I keep fighthing though. I don't know about the scene around the world, but I know that, for instance, in Brazil what could be improved would be the music market itself. Here we don't have booking agencies or similars that are able to work with independent underground artists, for instance. So, if you don't have a lot of money to invest in your music you will usually stay unheard of forever.
I think it's a wonderful initiative, but I still have to discover more about it so far.
The market itself. The unequalities and etc.
Yep, I do! I am a big Fan of Pajeh, Rock Sally, Lisbeth, Duppy, Circo de Marvin, Batrákia, among others. Those are awesome local bands. They also have partnerships with the band I play with. We usually play together and stuff, but I listen their work, I do help with marketing and whatever I discover that is helpful for my band, I go to shows whenever I can among other things.
Ohhhh ... well ... you asked the wrong person. My music isn't heard by a large audience, so I'm still in the path to discover this.
I've talked about them already. Pajeh, Rock Sally, Duppy, Circo de Marvin, Batrákia, Louder, Lupulla, Desafio Urbano, so many artists and bands ...
