Los Oxford

Story

Los Oxford was born in Montevideo, Uruguay at the end of 2003 from a need to generate urgent and fast songs with great emphasis on frenetic and sharp guitars and rhythms. From the beginning they demonstrated their essence of not waiting for anything or anyone, they travel to Argentina in 2004 to do three live shows at Salon Pueyrredon in Buenos Aires. In Montevideo they participate in a compilation of emerging bands while they continue to rotate on the scene alongside other renowned bands such as Motosierra, Sucia Esquina, Vagos del Sur and Austral among others. In 2007 they recorded "Menta" their debut album produced by Max Capote and edited by Contrapedal touring in Uruguay and Argentina. In 2009 they publish "Peleador" in Uruguay, Chile and Mexico for the label Danger Records , and they tour again in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, La Plata and Rosario. In 2012 and 2016 they published “Abierto” third work of the band and “Conspiraciones” fourth LP, this time in digital format for free distribution of the label Triple RRR representing the band in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Australia. In 2017, after playing in all the renowned UIruguay stages, opening shows for artists such as Cross and Carca, the band edited “Sala Blanca” recorded live in the Blaca Podestá venue. In 2018 they publish “Desde Afuera” double disc of digital format that consists of 18 versions of songs of the band performed by artists from Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay. In 2019 while they are in preproduction of their next material they return to play in Buenos Aires next to La Vela Puerca in two sold out majorshows at Vorterix Theater.

yes, personally i´m a sound engenier and a manager creating gigs in local venues. i support with everithing i can and have the local scene of Monteideo, Uruguay.
