Story

I'm a lyricist from Central Florida that is always on the lookout for musicians to collaborate with. So far I've been lucky in having music written to fit my lyrics. Am just now starting to get the songs recorded. The two uploaded so far are just scratch demos.. I'd like the guitar worked on for 'Inner Demons'; I'm not happy with the tone. Please contact me if you need any lyrics for your songwriting or if you feel you'd like to write some music for my completed lyrics. I'm always open to editing and re-writing.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my everything. It brings me calm when I'm upset, it lifts me up when I am down, it strengthens me when I feel weak. Writing lyrics as a teenager allowed me to put my pain into words. My songs tend to be dark as that is what most of my life experience has been yet they bring me great freedom and joy.

What is your music dream?

My dream would be for Alter Bridge to record one of my songs.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Help everyone to realize climate change is a real and terrifying reality for out future generations. Put music back in our school systems. I believe it should be offered as a class; not only playing an instrument but music theory as well. i think it would save many young lives by giving them an outlet for their passion, creativity and even pain.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

There are too many to pick from. All of Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, Black Sabbath's The Mob Rules, and KISS Alive II.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Alter Bridge, Pantera, Motorhead, GN'R, Weapons of Anew, and so many others !

What inspires you to make music?

My pain.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That a person can overcome just about any tragedy.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Terrified

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I'll answer that by saying that I wish we could go back in time to when everything wasn't digitalized, tracked, and sampled. I liked when recording a track meant a vocalist, guitar players, bassists, percussionists, not loops and digitalizations.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's a pretty cool site. An innovative way for the musicians of today to share their music and get it heard.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Well, since I'm a lyricist; what frustrates me the most is finding great musicians to collaborate with.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Oh HELL YEAH ! I'm out every weekend listening to the local Pasco Co. bands, whether cover or original. I love a local venue called The Verona that features hard rock/ metal bands from Central Fl. It's just starting to pull in touring bands as well. I run a music page that tells people where their favorite bands are going to be playing in Central Fl and I admin several music groups.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Tenacity, patience, of course real talent, magnetism and charisma and you have to know how to market your music through social media these days.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Sister Kill Cycle, Straightjacket Smile, Sunshine and Bullets, Dethstar Thrive, The Fallen Shall Prevail, Made From Stars, Weapons of Anew, etc., etc.
