I've been playing, singing and writing songs for 35 years now. I've played in local and regional acts. I've played overseas. I am just releasing my 12th album. I'm a professional graphic designer by trade. I'm a husband, a father and a believer.
It is the very air I breath. It is an all consuming flame. I can't imagine life without it.
To keep writing, recording and bring the music to the masses online, on the radio and through live performances.
People's hearts. This is what I try to speak to and reach with every song.
For me it was probably "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. It truly is a song of hope.
Queensryche, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin etc.
The song craft. It is such an amazing process. It's fun and exciting. Even when it's work it never seems like work.
Encouragement and hope. They are themes throughout my music.
I love connecting with the audience. It's exhilarating. What's really cool is when they sing along, get caught up in the song. It is amazing.
The music business is on life support. Labels are pretty much useless. The internet has made stealing music too easy. The legalities of copyright have not kept up with technology. It hurts everyone at every level of the music business.
So far, so good. I'm intrigued.
Good paying gigs are hard to come by.
I go see bands when I can. I buy their CDs and other merch too.
Good songs, great performances and good recordings at a minimum.
