Bryan Jeske

About me

My name is Bryan "Lee" Jeske, and i'm a northern Michigan Guitarist and Songwriter. I've been a member for the group Eugene's Machines for 3 years performing cover songs of famous acts such as Tom Petty, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Green Day, Hank Williams Jr., and more. I play mostly electric guitar and acoustic guitar. In the past year I've decided to take a step back from the cover band scene and focus on writing and recording my own original content. I'm excited for an avenue like Drooble to be able to share my recordings and ideas with all of you. I'm also available as a studio guitarist for those who need lead tracks, mainly working near the blues genre. Thanks for looking, and be sure to follow me and keep an eye out for new content.

What is your music dream?

To be able to create and share my music with my community and the world. To be able to share my faith through my creative process is my biggest accomplishment and would be the most rewarding

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I’d start with bringing back an emphasis on individuality to the world. For people to embrace who they are, not who they are told to be by the world, whether it be from the media or by friends or bullies at school. Be yourself!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Sunshine of Your Love rocked my world. It was the first song that came on and I thought “I have to learn how to do that”

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Eric Clapton is huge for me. The Rolling Stones. JJ Cale is another big one.

What inspires you to make music?

Every day life! There can be something to share musically depending on how you’re feeling, what you’re doing. the possibilities for creating are everywhere.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That this is who I am. This is what I believe. That this is what I feel in the core of my being.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

During the first song, nervous! After the ice breaker, it’s all smooth sailing from there.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Don’t hold your breath for a record deal. The internet gives you a free opportunity to share what you create with the world. Use it! That and I think more than anything get out there and PLAY! Play small shows, play benefits, just get out there and play and the rest will all fall into place.

What do you think of Drooble?

It’s fantastic. A great way for musicians and the like to community and build each other up. Just incredible

My lack of formal training can be frustrating. It’s a learn as I go process. But in the end it’s very rewarding

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Absolutely. I think that’s huge as an artist. Almost as important as actually playing. If you support others, the hope is that they will return the favor. You also never know who’s watching!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Charmisa. The ability to be able to socialize and promote themselves without acting like a moving billboard. People will always see the genuine you. Also, be who you are at a show. Audiences can always tell when you’re just going through the motions. They’ll feed off your energy. Make sure it’s positive!

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Gary King is an incredible northern Michigan guitarist and singer. The American Hotel System is great, good friends of mine! Clyde Park Avenue in Grand Rapids has some great material as well.
