My name is Ethan and I am FTM transgender. I have a rare neurodegenerative disease called Huntington's Disease. I am here to make connections because I love music, I love helping people and networking, and I am very passionate about what I do :D
I just love making people dance, putting a smile on a sad face, and making someone's day a little better.
I really want to get signed and set an example for people like me who have major health problems, I have Huntington's Disease and people are always like "Oh, you'll never accomplish anything" but I want to prove them wrong.
I would encourage people to love themselves. So many people out there suffer from some really bad self-image issues.
Probably "...Hit Me Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, or "Tearin' Up My Heart" by N*Sync. Britney Spears was my first concert at age 7 so her music means a lot to me, still to this day.
Honestly, I like anything with a beat. My favorite artist right now is Lil Peep. I really got into trap and sadboy music because I can just relate to a lot of the things they talk about. But I think some people walk a fine line, RIP Lil Peep.
My girlfriend, definitely. She picked me up off the ground and was like "Hey, your music is amazing, you should do something with it!" so here I am!
Man, love yourself. Love others. Love your environment. Be thankful for what you have and live every day like it's your last!
I get really anxious usually, but once the music starts and I get in my zone it kinda just comes naturally for me. I haven't played many gigs but I've played for friends and a few school dances.
I think the industry has turned more towards money than the actual love of music. I think we forget as musicians that we started off making music because it was fun (or at least I hope you did). It's not about the money, it's about doing what you love and impacting lives.
I'm really new, but it seems legit.
The price of everything, like, music equipment is so high. It is hard for kids who are at a disadvantage to get a hold of instruments and stuff. I know I've had to work with a LOT of free programs and get secondhand gear, I just wish more stuff was available to those who don't have the money to go out and buy a Gibson or Pearl.
I go to shows and try to leave comments of appreciation and encouragement to my fellow musicians everywhere I can. I interact with people a lot on BandLab and some other sites. Encouragement is a big, and usually undervalued part of building yourself and other musicians up.
Determination, hard-working, and you gotta be passionate.
