LayVen aka Vito Ruffin is an up and coming artist out of Ohio, currently residing in Atlanta, GA making a lot of noise. His mother was the lead singer of a Jazz band, which introduced LayVen to the music industry at a very young age. He has been writing and performing music since the age of 11 years old and is still going strong. With his witty word play and amazing gift of story telling, Layven is able to captivate the ears of any listener. With singles like "Bring Me the Cash" , "Me Against the World" , "I Love It" and new singles "Winnin" and "No Games", it is guaranteed that you will enjoy every lyric and every beat. What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is everything to me. It gives me breath. I was born to do music! No matter what I do, there is going to be music involved.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to to become the greatest music icon EVER!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would change the education system and the information that is given. If we were taught more to love ourselves, then we would better express love to others'. With better education, comes better understanding.

What inspires you to make music?

The love for it, everyday life and the fact that it's second nature to me inspires me to make music.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

To feel free to be yourself and be loyal to your family and friends is the message I want to send through my music.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel like I'm right where I'm supposed to be when I perform in front of an audience.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I see the musicians' reality nowadays as very competitive and it's about who you know. The quality of music and the messages being sent is what could be improved.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think Drooble is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not getting the proper recognition frustrates me most as a musician.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, I do support my local scene as a fan. I attend as many showcases/events as I know about.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

A musician should have qualities such as being inviting, sending a message, creating entertaining music, clarity, catchy music, eye candy, stage presence, good marketing skills, music on as many platforms as possible, good business relationships, motivation and drive nowadays in order to get their music heard by a larger platform.
