With more than 20 years of entertainment, event and destination management experience, this former Miss Teen Barbados clearly understands her audience. Lana who has been on the singing since 1985, trained under Mauva Kirton, her mother, who was a very celebrated lead classical soprano in Barbados. Lana placed third in a national talent show and went on to sing lead vocals with one of Barbados’ popular bands-‘Pure Gold’ (now defunct) in 1987. This talented Barbadian toured throughout Canada and various Caribbean islands during her 3-year stint with the band. Additionally, she has performed with the now retired ‘Troubadours International’ in Barbados and North America. Lana has performed as a solo artist for several shows and events and has touched the hearts of many at countless events-from intimate wedding ceremonies to national stages-with her soulful renditions of love songs. Her soothing voice can also be heard on many radio commercials. Lana was recently a nominee for the “Award of Excellence-Entertainment” at the prestigious Barbados Tourism Awards 2006. An experienced professional, Lana always touches her audience with her signature voice, reflecting purity and honesty. Her elegant demeanour makes her always a joy to watch.
