'Kerozinekikkers op Toernee' was De Kerozinekikkers' debut album which surprised friends and enemies alike. The band was founded september 9, 1999 by Rob and Henri and in a remarkable short periode of time a sextet was stage-ready. It was a style-breaking event as well were Henri got himself into. As such, he wasn't happy with the coincidental release of 'Sound Advice in Concert' recorded some four years prior to these early 2000 concerts. De Kerozinekikkers clearly started as a Jazzband and their Music was by and large the result of countless jamsessions. It took some time to get a definitive line-up together for this tour and it is a good thing these concerts were recorded since their next effort resulted in a very different style of music again. Generally speaking, the band gradually morphed from a Jazzband via Jazz-rock outings to a plain Funk-band in little over nine years. After this first Tour, Tenorplayer and co-founder Rob left the band and a next episode commenced, well documented by their 2002 Audio-album 'Kwaak'. This Live album had two spin off mini-albums, one as a promo for the 2000-2003 Kerozinekikkers-Tour and one for the 1999-2000 Sound Advice Tour, when it came in half-underway. 'Brainstorm' and 'The Swinging Stranger' (also known as 'Minor Swing') were actually early 1999 studio recordings and might have been done under the Sound Advice-banner. But 'You don't Know', 'One of a Kind' and 'Make Your Move' were all from 'Kerozinekikkers op Toernee'. 'One of a Kind' appears to be an instumental edit from the first night. In addition, the Kerozinekikkers-version had 'You don't Know' and "Make Your Move' from the first night, while the Sound Advice-version had them from the second night. The first night featured a more Jazzy sound and the second night had a harder, Rocky sound, especially from the Guitar. The old Bounty Records label sure knew how to produce collectables! Contrary to the 2004 cancelled 'Sound Advice Resurrection' Tour, the 'Easy Wisdom' Tour did take place. When the 3CD-box derived from 1997/1998 recordings proved too expensive as promo-material, this was used instead.
