Kyle Royce is an emotional singer/songwriter based all his life in New York. From the age of two, he started playing piano and shortly thereafter was creating songs by the age of 9. Always feeling like the odd man out, he buried his head into his music and fantasy: an avid lover of video games, anime, and transported worlds which gave inspiration to much of his creativity and introduced to him some of his favorite musical inspirations. His work is like mixing John Legend and Coldplay. Michael Jackson meets Radiohead. A pianist and singer songwriter by nature, but an experimentalist at heart, Kyle Royce aims to change the face of pop music as we know it. No matter the evolution of his sound, he always has ONE message to send: "I am Kyle Royce and you are The World - I believe we can do some amazing things together. Peace, Love, Progression. #PLP"
Music is in summation, the totality of my experience. Music is my medium. And music is the easiest way to encapsulate my message. I thank God for allowing me the ability to so easily explore and mold sound. And I choose to use that power to inspire. #PLP
I want the world to know my songs and my name, and for both of those to leave a lasting, positive feeling of growth for the listener.
I'd start by educating every single human being. Knowledge is powerful.
Disney's Beauty and the Beast + Pocahontas soundtracks.
Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Yoko Kanno, Radiohead, The Fall of Troy, Circa Survive.
I was born to do it. Life inspires me. People inspire me. Every day inpires me.
Peace, Love, Progression. #PLP
Connected. Grounded. Deeply satisfied.
This is hard to say. I would love for more depth to be involved in music nowadays -- a lot of it is very vain and shallow -- but there are times when those vain and shallow songs hit, ngl. I'm ready to provide a complex enough repertoire to even up the score.
I just joined. I'll let you know in a few weeks ?
Difficulty getting seen without a mountain of clout on the internet.
Hell yes. Everybody should. It keeps music alive. Go to local shows. Make friends. Ask the people you're closest to to collab. It's not hard and those simple actions will spur activity and community.
Determination. Hard headedness. Confidence. An UNDYING urge to advocate for yourself. You will start with only one fan -- and its yourself. You better be the best fan you can be.
