Known for his huge energy, cheeky expressions and versatility with both rhymes and flow, MC KKOI (Kriss Okai-koi, 26), has taken over stages left, right, center and back to his heart for where Drum and Bass is lyrically expressed. It all started in Cambridge with the Anthology (2008) where poetry was then influenced by UK Grime artists Chip (aged 16), the ear for Drum and Bass was developed few years later after seeing TNAs Grima & Azza in room 2, (Warning). As a content writer, KKOI then mastered the ‘Double time’ flow as well as introducing new concepts to every show his hype and hosting skills. KKOI joined Plymouth University to study Business where he was given an opportunity by local promoters within months he had found a USP with lyrics and flow which grew his fanbase. It all started with a dream to play at his Cambridge Hometown Award winning & Sellout event - WARNING. With huge performances with over 40 headline DJs including industry kings such as Macky Gee, Hazard & Guv to the opposite spectrums such as DC Breaks, Serum & Grooverider, there really isnt a genre that KKOI hasn’t performed. With the love for the crowd, music and high vibration its no surprise the Mclife showcase has been taken all across UK and Europe’s festival and nightlife working with Outlook & Innovation aswell as promoters Warning & RinseOut pushing him. Not only has KKOI excelled, he has also helped many others find their light through mentoring and advising artists such as latest New comer Maddy V and being the 1st to write his Final Business University study on Entrepreneural Success & Breaking through the Music indusrty. This year KKOI is set to bring a ‘Professional Touch’ to Drum and Bass with the goal to make every raver jump and smile.
