Koheleth’s Biography Koheleth’s music is written to be rhythmic food for the soul. Subliminal music, designed to enter the subconscious of his listeners. Koheleth produces a sound in which he coins, “Street Blues”. He writes lyrics that are nonfiction while painting a poetic picture of the consequences of making bad choices. Highlighting the importance of Spiritual Growth and Quality of Life. “What a person listens to directly impacts their emotions and character. Deception is a tool accepted by the victim”, says Koheleth. Koheleth was born in New Haven, Connecticut. Due to a divorce, his mother moved him and his older sister to Hyde Park, South Central, Los Angeles in the early 1980s where he attended Hyde Park elementary (now Yes Academy). After grade school, Koheleth moved to Houston, Texas where he currently lives today. Koheleth’s goal is to produce music that uplifts the importance of connecting to God. Like his name, Koheleth, which is the Hebrew for Ecclesiastes. A biblical book, that simply says the duty of mankind is to fear God and keep His commandments. To fear God is to be wise. To know God is to have it all. Koheleth prays his music will help someone, “Make Better Choices”.
Music is a way for me to express my feelings, opinions, and tap into emotion as well as communicate my message to those who share the same rhythmic vibe as me.
My dream is to create 100 positive conscious hip hop/rap songs focused on life experiences and emotions that touch the souls of those who listen to them.
If I could change the world, I would start with how people view God and the relationship they have with Him. I would compassionately ask everyone to focus on serving others while maintaining a healthy balance of self-awareness. All while following the foundational commandments and principles of God's word.
Stevie Wonder "As" touched me emotionally describing unconditional love while the cords and melodies danced around in harmony until the entire message was received with open arms. Perfect song!!!
Stevie Wonder, Herbie Handcock, Rick James, Michael Jackson, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Issac Hayes, Bill Withers, Bobby Womack, Rakim, Gangstarr, Ice Cube, 2 Pac, Bee Gees, John Coltrane, and many more.
My love for music inspires me to contribute to the craft. I enjoy being able to express myself in an artistic way. I think it's amazing how technology is elevating music to a place where the everyday person can create and the seasoned artist has tools beyond their wildest dream. I also love when the leaders of tomorrow recite and dance to the positive messages that I gift to them.
My music promotes Spiritual Growth & Quality of life.
I love seeing the faces of those enjoying my music. The dancing and head bobbing while reciting every line are refreshing and exciting. For me "Recording", "Producing", "Mixing", "Mastering" is fun putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together, but "Songwriting" and "Performing" is my release, and I consider it the cream of the crop.
Today musicians' must make music because they love to make music. However, the distribution of music must be strategic. In order for an artist today to live off their craft they will legally need to change the way the slices of pie are being served.
I'm excited to be a part of Drooble.
What frustrates me most as a musician is not being able to work on music for longer periods of time. As an artist, inspiration my hit at any moment and I would love to be able to jump right into my lab and create. However, responsibilities have a high priority and they also deserve my attention. Thanks to technology I get most of those inspirational moments on a high-level recorded.
I love to be entertained by all genres of music. I attend concerts, open mics, shows, jam sessions, etc. in and around the greater Houston, Texas area.
The musician nowadays must have the mind of a promoter, keeping their current audience engaged while continuously being introduced to potential new followers.
