If music is a Universal language then I want to speak EVERY genre. I'm working in an album consisting of all the major genres. Shout out of thanks to you on Drooble who are listening to and commenting on my music. I didn't realize how awesome it would feel to see you put my name and songs on your charts. It does inspire me to continue with a greater sense of propose.
My dream is to have a cried of people who know the lyrics to my songs well enough to sing along with me. I think that is the greatest way to experience a true relationship in music from the stage to the audience.
I am changing the world with my lyrics on stage and with my life off stage as an Enrichment Scientist. The world becoming a better place starts with you.
I was a toddler singing Johnny Lee's "Looking for Love" to the top of my lungs. Also making up some like "Lawton, Oklahoma!" At the age of 3... Those 2 words being set on repeat.
I was a big fan of 90's country along with a fair amount of classic country. Chris LeDoux, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Clint Black, Garth Brooks & Dunn, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Coe, bands like Diamond Rio, Blackhawk, Shenandoah, Charlie Daniels, and Lonestar were the guiding lights that taught me how to live by a "cowboy code" Now I am not limited by the borders of a specific genre. Instead I am driven by the idea that all music can be spoken by one artist. Black Sabbath, STP, Van Halen, GNR, Metallica, Tom Petty, CCR, Social D, Bob Marley, Louis Armstrong, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Simple Minds, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Modern English....the works!!! Plenty more to list.
I am a wordsmith who started if as a poet then became a singer, then songwriter, followed by musician. Country music are my roots but now that my horizons have broadened I want to write and preform every genre
#1 Love is a decision #2 Know what you're talking about #3 It is all a joke so sing along and learn to dance
They're is no greater feeling in my universe than when I feel my audience connect with me in an emotion I'm wanting to share from the stage. That synergy is a type of perfect connection .
There is one thing that murders the spirit of music...and that is the business of music!
I've enjoyed seeing my songs evaluated and placed on your charts. My project is being appreciate from each of the genres I've submitted in the top 50 and it does something to the artists heart in me to see. At the end of the day an artist takes a big risk to create something in private and then share it wanting to connect with someone else's emotions.
The drama of human nature is both the cause of great music...and the demise of great music relationships. We all hate it when great musicians end up being Divas and technical players focussed on perfection and the ones who have all heart... play their hearts out without skill. It is far better when the whole band has synergy so they can send good vibes out as a group...or ya know...a band.
I spend a lot of tine trying to BE the local music scene... ha ha. I do spend a good deal of time at local venues supporting bands and musicians. I like to jump up on the dance floor amd get people to dance with the band! I also cameo with a few bands as they know I will gladly jump on stage for a few songs.
I could certainly do better to know more about this subject.
