Kenneth Bruce

Bio

After a year of lessons on guitar I switched on my 15th to my true love Bass Guitar and soon I played in several local bands and on my 20th I decided to make my dream a reality . So in 1986 I moved from the isles of Aruba to the Netherlands to study at the conservatory in Amsterdam. In the years that followed I was able to realize my dream and have had the honor to play with some local and international musicians and a broad range of styles from Jazz to pop to Funk and Salsa music in many venues at home and abroad . Some highlights were the North Sea Jazz , Noorderslag Festival , Racism Beat It Festival, Pinkpop Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Bulgaria jazz Festival, Blue Note JazzFestival Ghent , Calle Ocho in Florida and of course clubs like Paradiso in Amsterdam, BB King Club in New York and all the Blue Note Jazz Clubs Japan and had an endorsement with Tech Sound System now Eich Amp. My influences are: Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Aston Barett, Anthony Jackson, Gary Willis, Victor Bailey, At this moment I am mostly busy freelancing touring and writing and playing my own music , with among others my own Fusion/Jazz/Funk band . Besides making music, I like to give my knowledge to others by means teaching privately at home.
