Crazy World Divine

Crazy World Divine

Hi. My name is Keith Bidwell. I release my music under the moniker 'Crazy World Divine' because the name 'Keith' just doesn't quite cut it! I started writing songs aged 16. I have played guitar from 9 years old learning classical for many years before inevitably getting into playing acoustic and electric guitars. Early musical influences were ABBA, ELO, Queen (1970's era), ACDC and then the whole NWOBHM scene in the 80's. Later influences have been Muse, Ennio Morricone, Lana Del Ray... anything recorded with emotion and/or on a grand scale. The first experience recording songs occurred almost 30 yrs ago in a small home studio near Bournemouth with a wonderful sound engineer called John Kelham. This is where the thrill of building and arranging songs was born. Guitar playing influences include Brian May, Ritchie Blackmore, David Gilmour, Gary Moore and acoustic guitar player Nick Harper. Despite an urge (sometimes) to litter my songs with wailing guitars, I think (hope) you will find much restraint shown in the music I have recorded. I have written some acoustic based songs in amongst the rockier ones and gradually these will start to appear on drooble. My one claim to fame is being played on Radio 2 doing a rendition of God Save the Queen in the style of Jimi Hendrix - a recording made for a Rock Opera about the failing marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana which sadly didn't take off. Music is my first love and I hope my songs will hook you in and move you the way the best songs should. Happy listening. More of my songs available on the usual streaming sites under the moniker Crazy World Divine. Feel free to contact me: [email protected]. Follow me on spotify to access my full back catalogue.
