Story

I started playing keyboards when I was four. Then, I quickly became familiar with my dad's hardware sequencers. I could create melodies, and play the guitar and the flute by the age of ten or eleven. I used to watch my dad making music all day long everyday, and that helped me dive into the world of DAWs. I probably created my first song when I was around twelve. I have been studying and working on music ever since. Currently, I work full time as a composer and sound designer for films, TV and games, and occasionally, as a composer, arranger, recordist and mixing/mastering engineer for clients.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music gives me a way to tell stories. Using sounds and rhythm to create emotions and scenes.

What is your music dream?

My dream is to work as an independent film score composer.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would develop countries where basic needs like food, water, electricity and internet are things of luxury. And by saying that, I'm actually talking about eradicating political corruption, which, in my opinion, is the worst enemy for citizens.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

There are quite a few, but I think I'll go with Roxette's Queen of Rain.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Roxette, Dire Straits, Deep Purple are among my favorite bands, and Howard Shore and Rupert Gregson Williams are my favorite film score composer.

What inspires you to make music?

Stories. I write a story on paper or just inside my head before I even touch the guitar or the keyboard to begin composing. And sometimes, there are stories that I've read in books or seen in movies that inspire me to create a piece of music that tells the key points in that story!

What is the message you want to send with your music?

More than a message, I wish to give people the chance to relax and forget about their problems for a while.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Of course that depends on how the audience is responding, haha! But before that, I feel excited and obliged to do the absolute best I could.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Musicians have a difficult time coming to recognition. If a platform could let newcomers showcase their skill and talent fairly to the world, I think that would be the biggest improvement.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's a great place to meet some new people and get feedback on your work.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not being able to give as much time to music as I should, I guess. I have a bad habit of getting distracte-- oooh, shiny!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I don't really go out much, so I admit I'm not an active support. But I do support local musicians whenever I can. I help people learn software and other techy stuff, whenever they visit or I visit them, for example.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I suppose the ones that I seem not to: being a very good marketer and an advertisement genius.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

My dad, I think. :D
