What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music means the world to me. It's translated emotion, and often words can't express what music can.

What is your music dream?

I want people who are listening to my songs are touched and feel at least a small part of what I felt while creating.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Myself, and I try to do it day by day.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Pink Floyd - Money

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Way too many.

What inspires you to make music?

Almost everything. It can be something on TV as well as a combination of noises in the supermarket. Or, to make it even shorter: Life.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Live your life now, and try to improve as much as possible. Never cry over spilled milk. You cannot change your past.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

A mixture of being scared and fantastic. But always very glad to be there.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It is very tough to earn a living from music, and I'm glad that I don't have to rely on it. It'd appreciated if the revenue from stream play covered the investments I made over time. But as long as the pay per stream is less than a cent, I don't see the chance.

What do you think of Drooble?

I just started using it. The first impressions are good. It looks very professional and seems to be easy to use. Ask me in about two or three months again.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

I am annoyed when I can't release a song because the original artist or his record company has prohibited a cover version. And when your distributor is missing his appointments, for instance, about release dates.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, I do. I try to visit concerts of local bands regularly, and I buy CDs and vinyl by local artists.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

As an independent artist, you have to be an all in one talent. It is not enough to write good songs or to be good at your instrument. You have to be on social media to promote your music with a high effort. If you don't like surfing the web to gather information and be present, it will be hard to succeed. And you have to learn it all you can't rely on promises that are given by anyone. Not because they want to cheat, mostly they do not know it by themselves. Another good advice is to be and stay yourself. Nobody will believe you for a longer time, and that is what you want if you play a role.

Here's an artist I also know for just 2 hours now, Makeda Taylor from Canada. The Spotify link points to her latest release. https://open.spotify.com/album/76FnnpKMYnazLrhglaIG6H?si=we1gK8SiQrqvvr41n1O2Kw
