What is music to you? What does it give you?

To me music has always been the heartbeat of my life. Love, joy, pain, longing and every other feeling imaginable is stoked by the flame of music.

What is your music dream?

I would love to play one of my original tunes on the Grand Ole Opry and/or have a artist I enjoy cover it.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

The Youth, empowering them with music will help tear down walls and help their minds create ways to bring them together.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Smooth by Rob Thomas & Santana. It was such a blend of cultures and sounds with such a feeling of passion.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Im a Bluegrass freak. Tony Rice, Blue Higway, Balsam Range, The Country Gentlemen....I just love a good story

What inspires you to make music?

Honestly, its the feeling I get when someone enjoys my stories. I love the look on peoples faces when a song really connects with them.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Within music lies the stories and memories of our lives. we must cultivate those memories in hopes of continuing to make new ones.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

That is the most amazing part of what I do. Having people engaged with my songs, watching their faces as a story progresses is priceless.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It has become much easier to get your music out to people if you know what you are doing. You must also keep in mind that everything you do (including negative comments or actions) get out just as fast. Use social media to your advantage but dont forget to also be social yourself.

What do you think of Drooble?

So far so good. I am new to the site and am looking forward to what possibilities it may create.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The small value most venues put on live music, there is so much that live music brings to an environment.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I try to attend every festival and show that I can. I will always be a fan regardless of what I do in music. You cannot lose sight of what stoked your passion in the first place.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Be original, be genuine and never let success change you or your music. Even if you think certain adjustments will help get your music out it wont be worth it if its no longer you. Play YOUR music and bide your time.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
