What is music to you? What does it give you?

It is literally my ‘me time’ I’m a bit of a metal head, pantera being my fave band but I’m also big into lyrics & songs just just hit you in that spot & you’re like omg that’s me right now, Daughter is a fantastic artist for this!!

What is your music dream?

To go see DimebagDarrells grave

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Ban all the shitty commercial music these days, songs that are cool for 5 mins, when it’s real music & real bands you go on a journey with them throughout their career!

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

My dad playing the Beatles & Marc Bolan who I am now huge fans of!! I also remember the first time I heard ‘twisted transistor’ by korn & I just thought wow!

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Pantera Deftones Marilyn Manson Linkin Park Blink 182 Two Door Cinema Club The Drums Marc Bolan / Trex The Beatles Daughter Korn Slipknot Naked & Famous The Neighbourhood Crystal Castles Deaf Havana System of a Down Bring me the Horizon

What inspires you to make music?

I’ve always been very musical I DJ’d a bit when I was younger & i’ve never really been into the same music as my mates, I would put up with their music taste then my music would just be personal to me. My best mate died in January & twice I’ve randomly been inspired to write down how I’m feeling into lyrics & I’ve ended up writing 2 songs but I’m still at the anger stage of grief right now so I’d like to write more through all the stages of my grief. My bf plays acoustic very well so we’re still trying to get the right music for both tracks.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I’m hoping to share my journey with grief so hopefully people can relate to it in some way at some point

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I’ve never performed, only when I did dancing years ago

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think it’s great they are getting a bit of exposure on social media & shows like Xfactor & last year was the first year ever where they allowed artists to play their original songs but I still think their should be a show similar for proper songwriters & bands as the contestants who are into real music never win it & if they do they are tied to a contract.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

When you’re in the zone & feel inspired you need to just stay in that zone & let no one distract you! Also finding time to actually get stuff done that suits everyone as we all have lives

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Not as much as I should, one of my ex’s was in a band & I did go to everyone of gigs & shared everything on social media for them though

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I think those talented people who don’t know how talented they really are, it’s endearing instead of people jumping about in people’s faces
