Fusionn

Story

Juan Perez better known by stage name Fusionn is a Hip-Hop artist born and raised in Paterson New Jersey. At a young age, Juan has always been a heavy gamer at first. He would spend most of his time sitting in front of the TV playing video games every day after homework. His family always thought that once he grows older, he would become a game designer. But as years passed by, he embarked on a journey that no one would ever see him go on. In his freshman year of high school in 2004, Juan discovered a talent in music as a rap artist. He started recording music by the name of J Diamond and joined a musical rap group called “The Linkz” which featured him and another recording artist named DJ Z from Glen Rock New Jersey who is known as Zach Hannah now from the pop musical group “ARIZONA”. During this time, Juan started developing the ability to write songs and build a catalog of music. This has pushed Juan to continue to grow a music career in the music industry. In 2005, Juan separated himself from the rap group “The Linkz” and started working as a solo artist. He was then working with another Recording Artist/Audio Engineer/Producer from the same city of Paterson by the name of Ariel Mendez known as Luchi Walli. Juan then changed his name from J Diamond to Fusionn. Juan and Ariel continued to work on music together and then formed a group by the name of Reality Zone which consisted of Hip-Hop music. The group worked with amazing talent from all around the city of Paterson. They recorded out of Wrekka Mic Studios owned by lead Audio Engineer Jose Flores. A few years later, the group “Reality Zone” split apart. Juan and Ariel decided to put their focus on recording music as solo artists. Juan then started recording music as solo artist with Jose Flores as the lead audio engineer for his work. Juan worked along Jose for quite a few years. He has contributed a lot of time putting out music and helping Jose put out the word on Wrekka Mic Studios. In 2005, Juan released his first demo with Wrekka Mic Studios called “Reality Talk Project l”. This project was to introduce the name Fusionn to the people around the city of Paterson. The project contained 8 songs with 1 feature with recording artist “Velz” which became a hit single off the project called “G.O.T.”. Although, the project did not make a buzz outside of the city of Paterson as the marketing plan didn’t take much effect. In the year 2010, Juan released his 2nd project by the name of “Beats & Rhymes” with Wrekka Mic Studios. This project consisted of 16 tracks with features such as Bad Lungz, Velz and M-Dot. With the marketing strategy put together for this project, it didn’t get as far as it should of. Although, this has helped Juan develop skills in the marketing and music industry. He also was involved in the audio engineering side of things being taught by Jose from Wrekka Mic Studios. In the year 2014, Juan decided to put a pause on the music things and get involved in the radio business. He started an online radio station by the name of “Speak Ya Mind Radio” that interviews unsigned/underground talent from all around the world. The radio station segment consisted of playing old school Hip-Hop classics at first and turned into interviewing and playing music from unsigned talent across the world. He brought a long his best friend DJ Novawave known as Billy Prempeh as a co-host on the show. The duo group has made an impact in the radio station industry and helping many people get the opportunity to tell their story live on air. Toward the end of the 2014, Juan started running the radio station segment himself as Billy had an opportunity for growth somewhere else. Juan continued to grow the business and ended up finding a location to grow the platform into a branch that helped grow the platform with different segments. The platform not only consisted of music. It had different segments such as a sports, comic book and underground film segment. This helped Juan develop business skills along with audio and production skills. In 2017, Juan became a pro wrestler along with owning the Speak Ya Mind Radio platform. He was also the lead of a radio station segment by the name of “Over the Top Rope Podcast” which was a pro wrestling segment on Speak Ya Mind Radio consisting of himself and 4 other members. With his wrestling career, Juan wanted to carry the Speak Ya Mind Radio platform with him to try and open future opportunities for the platform itself. In 2018, Juan partnered up with a business partner by the name of Marvin Perdomo. With this partnership, Juan helped Marvin develop producing skills to run shows on the Speak Ya Mind Radio branch. After a few months, Juan and Marvin decided to take the approach and change the name of the radio business from Speak Ya Mind Radio to Bravery Studios. Juan made Marvin head producer of Bravery Studios and the group continued to try and grow the business with many podcast segments. Toward the end of 2019, Juan decided to split ways with Bravery Studios and decided to work on his own things. Juan continued his career as a pro wrestler wrestling for companies such as ECPW, IWA and ACE Wrestling. This has opened a lot of doors in the pro wrestling business for Juan as he worked with many pro wrestlers in the business including the infamous Metal Maniac. In the beginning of 2020, Juan had to retire from the wrestling industry due to personal health issues. This put Juan in the position of coming back into the music industry. Juan started building a home recording studio that led into working toward a record label business called “Speak Ya Mind Recordz”. The independent record label signed Joshua Morales known as GMB Blanco. In the middle of 2020, Juan releases his first project under his label by the name of “Trust Me, I’m a Rapper”. He then releases another project at the end of 2020 called “New Year, Still Me”. These projects set the tone on what Juan is capable of when it comes to music. In the beginning of 2021, Juan decided to drop the label and started working more on the audio production side of things. With the skills Juan developed over the past few years, Juan was able to establish his own business for Mixing & Mastering services. Even though he has 17 years of experience, he still looks to broaden more of his audio production skills attending Full Sail University for his Audio Production bachelor’s degree. With the knowledge Juan is gaining at Full Sail University, he has become a top recording artist/audio engineer/producer working in all genres of music. Juan continues to release music in all types of genres. He is known as a musician in the music industry and looks to better himself every step of the way he goes.
