My name is Josh and I am looking to find other musicians to work with and share music with. I am a fan first, then a self-taught drummer. I love everything about music and just getting out to jam with anyone. I want to start writing digital tracks also, which I have been sleeping on for about 3 years. Thus, my projects are going to be quite raw in the beginning. Being a jam player, I feed off of other musicians and get inspiration from all those around me. This sometimes puts a block on me when writing my own material. Any suggestions or words of wisdom for me, please feel free because I could use the help. Thanks.
Music is always on in my life. I love everything about it. When I sit down and play, I forget everything else that is going on. Music gives me tranquility.
To just play music all over the world and not have to worry about where the next meal is coming from. I don’t need a lot, just enough to take care of a family and be alright.
Making sure that everyone has food and water. It has been proven that the most impoverished countries suffer the most violence and crime. If we can get everyone fed, and playing an instrument, then we would have a solid foundation for growth.
Too many to list.
Everything.
Energized and wanting to play for hours.
Essentially, we have no creative writes and will make essentially nothing on album sales. I am not a businessman, but I would say that maybe restructuring contracts so that musicians do not have to struggle so much with things like arriving home with busted equipment and no money. I understand that the labels have to make a profit, but surely we could work on a better option.
Great community and supportive members.
People who don’t show up to jam and then make excuses.
Social Media and Marketing skills. More important, have a solid product to promote first. Pay for quality studio recordings, artwork, flyers, t-shirts, press, etc. If you are not happy with your product, you will not be able to sell it to a label or executive.
