What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music encompasses my heart and soul. It's how I express emotions and thoughts that I otherwise could not convey through conversation alone.

What is your music dream?

I would love to be a part of an organization that is focusing on music business. I am also in the process of launching my own act and business which is powering a social movement I've started in my local area around Mental Health and Substance Abuse awareness. www.ThackTracks.com www.THAKmusic.com

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Using my music and business prowess I hope to affect wold change around the topics of Mental Health and Substance Abuse awareness.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit" CCR "Fortunate Sons"

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

This is always such a hard question for me. There are so many artists out there that I absolutely love their music. So I will answer this with the ones I have worked with at some level in my music career so far: Alien Ant Farm, Theory of a Deadman, Fire Fight, Girl on Fire, Avenue Army, Mackenzie Clymer, Lil’Cam, ZEALE, and Saving Able.

What inspires you to make music?

Spirituality, love, anger, frustration, change, philanthropy, and an overall love of creating music. Again, this list could go on forever.....

What is the message you want to send with your music?

The Hand Above the King aka T.H.A.K. is a non-profit Christian artist signed with ThackTracks, LLC. This means all of the profits generated by my music will be donated to support other non-profit organizations who's mission it is to spread awareness and/or support to people with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. This cause means a lot to myself and the #ArmyofAngels who support me. When I come to your venue I will not be drinking and/or doing drugs. I don't want free alcohol nor do I want free food. The money will go to help people who need it. #MakeAPromise #MakeAPromiseWithMe #GetSome #WalkWithHimAndI #ThePathIsReal #ArmyofAngels #IfEyeCanDoItSoCanThey #JoinTheMusicRevolution #RealChangeHelpsEveryone #LookOutHereWeCome #MillenialRevolution #MentalHealthAwareness

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Excited and at complete peace.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I believe a lot of musicians tend to buck any sort of legitimate business practices when it comes to building their careers. Either from being naive about the music business or complete non-interest in it. Unfortunately, this is a necessary component if true success is to be earned. I hope to help other musicians in this area as well as with music production and leveraging state-of-the-art information technology to bring their dreams into reality.

What do you think of Drooble?

It is AWESOME!!!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The status quo. However, I see the revolution that is happening and this brings me much excitement!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Attending shows other musician peers. Offering help where I can and providing an never ending willingness to collaborate with any musician in any genre.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Have NO FEAR! Also, a good understanding on how to leverage the tools and technology available are very important.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

T.H.A.K. (shameless self promotion there haha) and Fire Fight www.THAKmusic.com www.FireFight.online
