Rev Joseph Fagan

Been Playing 40 years. Might know a few things.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Makes me feel human. And I did not get enough attention as a child. I like people clapping and yelling.

What is your music dream?

For 100 people to show up every time we play.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Getting The orange tumor out of the oval office.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Ricky Nelson It's Up To You. I had the 45. Still do.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Jimi Hendrix The Who Leslie West Ten Years After Cream Ramones Sex Pistols ZZ Top Johnny Winter Beatles Zep

What inspires you to make music?

Don't know how to do anything else. It's a compulsion. Have tried to stop but can't.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Live music played buy real people has the power to heal a sick body. Uplift the spirit and make you believe if only for a few hours that you may have a human soul.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

It is the only time I experience any joy in life. Human. Monkeys can't play guitar.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It would be nice if people thought of live music as a form of entertainment. Something worth leaving the house for or looking away from your phone for a second.

What do you think of Drooble?

It's taking the concept of Karma and making it a game where you are rewarded for good human interaction. And it works .Genius.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Music having no value and the constant struggle to get people to even try to listen.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Go see other bands. Pay the cover charge. Tip the bartenders.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

If you figure that out let me know. Having a beard. and being young and woefully ignorant of anything that happened before you were born seems to help.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Ah maybe later.
