Hello, I am JoOnna and I manage Andrew Mellor & Forgotten Man. Andrew will be visiting the states for 5 weeks, starting November 28 2017 through Jan 9, 2018. He is looking to collaborate with bands or other musicians Founder, Director of Song and Creative Services at Forgotten Man Productions: Vocalist, Musician, Songwriter, Poet, Lyricist and Teacher The tale of Andrew Mellor begins with his birth in Glossop, England and takes us on a fierce and inspired journey which spans almost 4 decades, includes more than 15 bands, hundreds of songs, trials, tribulations, and amazingly poignant, prolific and interpersonal music. Musician, writer and vocalist, Andrew Mellor taught himself how to play guitar at an early age, wrote his first song at 14 and started his first band, “Landing Party” at the age of 16. Working with several bands throughout the 1980’s including Blues Busters, Screaming Beavers, and East Meets West, in the early 1990’s Andrew joined the Metal Band Mister Vincent as lead vocalist. During this time, he created, collaborated and thrived for 10 years with songs such as Fractured and Chemical Bride. He has performed in The Lowry (Manchester), The Apollo Theatre (Manchester), Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), Old Trafford Football Stadium, Reebok Stadium, Cardiff International Arena, SEC Arena, Earls Court (London) Andrew is a veteran of over 2500 gigs. In 2004, as it usually does, life happened and Andrew took a break from music in order to spend more time with his beautiful children and family. The twists and turns of life being what they are, Andrew also experienced loss and learned about life the hard way, on the streets, homeless, disheartened and absent for several years. But the music was always with him, guiding and leading him back. With hard work, perseverance and sheer will, Andrew pulled himself out of the streets and back into musical world in 2015 launching his own solo career, where we find him now. Taking several forks in the road, overcoming obstacles and surviving all that fate had thrown his way, we now have the pleasure of hearing his hauntingly melodic and powerful voice with and entirely new collection of works which tell his story and share his heart. In the past two years, Andrew Mellor has collaborated on several projects with various artists including a film by Chris Adams Music, Crazy with Imran Ahmed (Project X) and reuniting to record Disposable with Mister Vincent. Most recently Andrew won the prestigious Josie Music Award for Vocalist of the Year, Rock/Classic Rock. He has just released his new album “Dark & Light” available on over 250 digital retailers worldwide, and is in the process of working on a project “Between the Sheets, and Kick the Covers” paying homage to some of the great music icons from classic rock music, which includes the release of one cover each month through February 2018 when the collection will be released in an album. In addition, in November 2017 he will release two new Christmas covers in time for the holiday season. Andrew started forming the band Forgotten Man in August 2017 and will be playing live again throughout Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Lancashire and the surrounding area, as well as touring in the United States, playing with the award-winning blues musician Jack Hadley along the eastern slope of Colorado this coming December through January. Subsequently, he is also the Director of Song at Forgotten Man Productions, and part of the initiative “One Nation Under Rock”, a new movement to rejuvenate, reinvigorate and re-energize the rock industry throughout the United Kingdom, United States and Canada. In addition to creating resources and programs to assist independent artists in generating revenue and achieving success.
