My Bio

I am a professional guitarist/singer/songwriter/music teacher and luthier with over twenty-five years of experience. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA, John began playing the guitar at the age of eleven, and eventually went on to study with world-class master guitarists/teachers: Dennis Sandole (1986-1991), Pat Martino, (1977-1978) Calvin Harris (1974-1976), and Anna Caskerenko (1969-1971). After attending Combs College of Music, he spent the next sixteen years sharpening his musical skills playing in Philadelphia area nightclubs, the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City Casinos, recording studios, and touring the US, Canada, and South America with some of the best rock, blues, and R&B bands as a professional guitarist. Considered one of the more eclectic and versatile guitarists around, John plays 6 & 12 string electric and acoustic guitars, slide guitar, classical guitar, lap steel guitar, ukulele, banjo, bass guitar, violin, and keyboards. His style of playing ranges from: Rock, to Blues, to Funk, to Jazz, to Classical, and everything in between and beyond.
